In case you didn't know, I'm a freak, a geek and a sports nut, and those aspects often shout out in my novels. I aim to make my novels palatable to a wide spectrum of readers, so I never shy away from realism, intricacy, depth or complexity or dumb my works down in any way.
I never know where or when inspiration will hit, but it's usually just a tiny hint or a glimmer that I catch in some movie or book or song or dream, and then I run with it and a magical things happens. Characters come alive and a story seems to breathe and unfold on its own, right under my busied fingers. That's what I love best about writing: surprising even myself.
I hold a degree in Journalism Advertising from Liberty University, and I've put my education to good use working in advertising, but these days, aside from writing novels, I do freelance design work and I format books. Though my creative juices push me in many artistic directions, I find the greatest fulfillment in writing novels.
In addition to writing, I also enjoy running and fitness, cooking & entertaining, outdoorsy thrills, amusement parks and everything theater. With addictions to crazy coffee concoctions, Funny Bones, Ben & Jerry's, and bacon, the running is so very important, plus it gives me a great zone to devise cool plots or work out the kinks in my stories.
I currently live in New England with a comedian stud and a wild gang of kidlets.
